Challenge: The Four Elements (Advanced Editing I)
Camera: Olympus E-20
Location: Massachusetts, USA
Date: Feb 15, 2004
Aperture: f11
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/125
Galleries: Landscape, Nature
Date Uploaded: Feb 15, 2004

Rotate, crop, pushed saturation and curves a bit... all to entire image. Added borders.. resize.. try to figure out how to get it brighter because it looks more contrasty on-line. Can't keep the file size down.. so, it is what it is. Maybe I will unsubmit before midnight.

This is a beautiful image and an excellent entry. Combining all four elements whilst also producing an image that is so appealing outside of the theme.
I particularly like the lines of the tree shadows and sunshine falling on the earth.

I love this a lot. I like the rich colour and lighting, but the composition and distractions bother me. Since this was an editing challenge I would have retouched the building on the left and the branch in the foreground on the right. [7]

Nice capture of the sun behind the trees and the lacy feel of the branches. Very nice color in the foreground.

The puddle is really hot. The foreground is pretty dark. A hard combination of scenarios to shoot together in the same picture without messing either one or both up. i think you did the right thing here as far as doing what you had to do, but I dont' think it has the strong visual appeal that we're looking for. Nice peaceful shot nonetheless

Pretty light and nice color too. I think you could crop off the building on the left and some of the bottom to draw the eye into the trees. :) Good entry.

lovely shot, the great long shadows give it a pensive mood
