Post challenge:

The halo around the upper part of the watch isn't all that noticeable on my laptop but after I got the first comment mentioning it I checked the image on my moniter at work and found it to be VERY noticeable. Damn! I did sharpen the shot but I think that positioning the flash slightly behind the watch lit the back of the it and heightened the halo effect.

Here's another one from the same watch series with exactly the same post processing.

Lovely photo, but... not sure what is causing the halo around the watch, but it is distracting.
