 Thank you for the comments and the ratings guys. I took this picture 10 days before Ursula went to the same place. I thought it was a little bit too late to get an Autumn shot. I decided to visit the Medicine Lake and the water almost completely drained (due to the natural underwater drainage).

Hardware used to get desired dynamic range:
- Gold and Blue Color Polarizer.
- 3 stop reverse ND Graduated filter.

Digital post processing with Adobe CS3 (I forgot all the details):
- Adobe RAW: Increase vibrance, fill light, saturation.
- Curve adjustment.
- Open file in PS3, duplicate.
- Curve to bring more contrast.
- Dodge the trees on the right side to get more details.
- Burn the foreground to bring out the rock on the bottom of the water.
- Resize to 50% of original size, sharpen 2x
- USM to bring more contrast
- Resize to 640 pixel and selective sharpening.
(Taken with both digital and Hasselblad).

I added this in my faves days earlier but I didn't get the chance to comment. Anyway, this is actually the first time that I have seen a photo so magnificently taken in this site. I love the fact too that it is not marred with any funky post processing at all... It is nature at its finest and you superbly captured it. Congratulations on the ribbon. It truly deserves it...

This is very good. Love the detail in the foreground and all of the lines leading into the distance. Is there a slight tilt to the right or am I just disoriented?? ;) The colors and transitions from light to dark are right on. Faved.

8 - Wow. Could just be my eye being fooled by the reflections, but looks slightly off balance, like it needs a fraction up on the right - might also be perspective, apologies if I'm wrong. Breathtaking scene, which I'm sure it was in person. This image, with such beautiful symmetry, makes me want to see more sky, to balance (halve) the image. Very nice.

Looks like this image has been HDR'd. And in my opinion, if I can tell, it is too much. Still, gorgeous image.
