This baby is a 1930 Ford Model A and obviously isn't stock =) . I chose to post it under new (rather than old) because its the owners "new toy" if you will. I had been shooting it for about 45 minutes in the parking lot of a mini mart as the sun was going down, so not very good lighting with the shadows, but a nice background. I managed to snap this one as he was pulling out of the parking lot onto the highway. It was almost as if it had saved the best for last.

I hope this does well, it was kind of a spur of the moment thing, and its an stunningly gorgeous car.

Thanks to Pete Amundsen and Aunte Donna.

In my opinion motion blur and/or a pan may have benefited this picture.

Composition wise, its a bit awkward seeing a tiny bit of sky above the tree line. Would have been better to crop in a bit more (could have eliminated the power line that way too), or alternatively, crop out to get the sky filling a third of the frame. Although the latter would have made the main subject a lot smaller. A dramatic close-up wide angle shot from the rear tyre or next to the chrome exhausts would have been great to see

sort of snap shot not real sharp

I would have like to see the car more to the left as apposed to centered.

the composition could have been a little more interesting

Wow, what a car. The image itself though is kind of boring without much interest and shows kind of a snapshot type of feel. To improve, I'd say get in closer and don't have the car in the center of the frame. You could also try for some panning to show the car in motion.

This may well be new to Pete (whoever or whereever he is) but nothing in the picture is telling me that. It does look nicely redone so maybe newly restored would work better as a concept to fit the picture into the challenge. That said ... I would like a much closer crop as I don't think the background adds anything to what is an interesting car, and the background colors seem a little too magenta which is not at all complementary to the car.
