I really like the highlights on the painbrush strokes, and the way it has put detail where it is needed on the faces, and very broad brush strokes with little or no detail around the edges of the frame. Very nice. |

What a great result with your processing David. The scene lends itself perfectly to this effect that you've used. Awesome work. And I agree with 777stan, this would look excellent on a canvas! A big thumbs up from me! :) |

Amazing Effect! It appears to be a cross between oils and fresco...I really like it!
I have a "gut feeling" that it would great as a 30" X 40" on canvas above the fireplace! There are a couple of mixed media techniques I have got to try on something like this...
1. Thomas Kinkade's Reprint Effect (add actual oil paint touch-ups)
2. Mr. Bean's "Silly-But-Could-It-Be-True?" Faux Masterpiece Replacement Effect (See the BEAN movie for what he did to a poster of Whistler's Mother...) |
