 This was my other contender for the Shallow DOF challenge. Had a real tough time deciding. I like the tones of this one better, but thought the other represented a better shallow DOF.

very impressive image. great duotoning and i appreciate the exploration into the edge of blowing out parts of the frame. An ordinary subject rendered into something much more beautiful and eloquent.

This rocks Jen. I love it. i recognize the duotone :)

I haven't looked at what you did submit for shollow DOF, but this would have done fabulously, assuming fabulously is a word. If it isn't, it should be.
