This is one of my favorite places near my home called Sweet Springs. It is full of ducks, egrets, herons, an occassional cormorant, and, last week, a coyote walking around the pond. Today I sat near the pond watching the ducks and then I remembered the coyote so I stood and hummed a tune in case he thought about coming back.

Good light combination... it almost looks mystical.

Great mood effect, it might be great without the ducks, since they're small anyway. This would be interesting as an HDR from several f/stops combined.

It's readily apparent why this is your favorite pond. I think it'd be mine too. So soothing, pretty, and secluded.

What a beautiful scene! Love the open background and then the protected area for the birds. Looks almost like a scene from a fairy tale.

This looks so nice. I can imagine it's your favorite pond.

It looks like the focus is on the beautiful background, so the birds on the foreground looks a little lost.

Oh, tinky2, one of these days I will come back down to where you are and see these scenes for myself. This is a beauty and you nailed that bird with the wings open. the mist/haze adds a nice dreamy quality to this image.

Looks like a nice peaceful spot, which you conveyed well. Timing this to get the duck with spread wings adds interest.

Hope to see some coyote photos soon!

This is a pretty spot, and full of life too. I like the heavy tree line, and the way the light moves from top to bottom in the picture.

Love seeing both the almost too light and dark areas with wingspread duck sort of between; it IS dreamy.

Don't worry too much about the Coyote. It's not you he's after. Those ducks should be a little worried, though. He'd be so lucky.

This is a beautiful spot. The light is very dreamy. I find the shadowed areas on the right a little too dark for the rest of the shot. You could dodge a few more details into them for my taste.

What a pretty area, I like the light shining through at the back.
