Instead of eating at work today, I escaped for lunch and went to the local park. Thank goodness I did, it was a magnificent day. Fall has finally arrived, just when we thought it wouldn't!

Very pretty and your solid compositional sense comes through once again. This is a great example of why blue skies hurt ya - they're just not that interesting. Keep this tree in mind and go back when it's stormy. With dramatic clouds filling the sky, this will be a more vibrant, eye-catching shot.

I'd also encourage you to try the gaussian/fade treatment on this: Do a gaussian blur with a pretty big radius, like 80, then go into edit->fade to about 50%. It can give a nice glow to vibrant colors like what you have here.

What a pretty scene. The reflectios of the beautiful tree are great.

Love how that red tree just stands out from all the others. Love the deep blue gradient in the water. I say just crop the left side about 1/3 of the way and have one tall and skinny shot lol.

Think the light is very bright (as mostly during lunch time), but it's a great scene with nice colors.

Serene and beautiful.

Now, because I feel like nit picking this morning, I'm going to suggest removing those little gray/white specks in the foreground water and also that power line above the falls. They are minor distractions from a very lovely image.

And yes, skip lunch often and get some more shots of this beautiful area.

Ditto ErikV; there are a number of interesting elements here -the falls and the fieldstone below the tree as well as the tree that might be worth featuring. (At the moment I'm having great difficulty with my own submission trying to keep my elements in line).

Great red tree you got there. If you are back in the park soon, might want to try photographing just the reflection of the red tree.

BTW, have not had trouble commenting, have been doing so for last 30-45 minutes.

I am happy that you get to share your lunch break with us tonight. That is a good looking tree. We do not get very much of that kind of foliage this far south.

Beautiful colors from the water and the trees. Good for you going to the park.
