This was fun, my first attempt at back-lighting. Certainly a good learning curve.

Colour correction - crop - hue/Sat - contrast - USM - resize - save for web.

Nicely lit and composed; kind of a bad hair day effect. Little blob of light to the right of the stem takes away a little bit from the main subject.

this has the potential for a very cool shot; focus either needs to be tweaked or dof needs to be less shallow so that more of the detail and texture of the subject comes through; lighting is a little harsh

Good lightly revealing a surprising amount of colour. A pity about the lens flare at the bottom of the frame.

a pretty version of a known theme, very nice. i'd sharpen it more... most pictures look unnatural when sharpened too much. i think this one wouldn't. and: the white something in the lower third distracts. still an 8 for me
