Beautiful, but.... There is too much natural light and more than one source.

Well, I love the image, but I think the challenge called for a single, artifical light source.

I don't thinks this qualifies for SLS. While the shrub is well-lit from the front, the stars, the multiple street/house lights and the glow beyond the horizon are all additional sources.

Difficult to judge your take on the challenge. First, I must say this is stunningly beautiful image and I congratulate you on it. I suppose you could argue that most of the frame is iluminated by what remains of sunlight or perhaps moonlight, but, you have at least one other source in the city lights, and, most of all, you have numerous sources of light coming from the stars; technically, each star would be a source of light. I would have given this image a 9 in some other challenge (free study? landscape? Tree?) but I feel it would be unfair to the other entries to do so here.

can't wait to come back to your picture to see how long you exposed it. love the contrast of the "brightly" lit tree and the dark background and sky.

This doesn't appear to have been lit by a single ARTIFICIAL light source.

Rules call for "a single, artificial light source." There are quite a few light sources in your photo and many of them are natural light sources. DNMC. Nice otherwise.

while this is a nice image...challenge said: : Use a single, artificial light source to dramatically light the subject of your choice. I take it your flash is lighting the tree? 6
