 This is Mary - she's a civilian who works here and has worked "downrange" more than once. She's a dynamo and a half. These are two of "her girls". She had five she visited regularly - one was killed by a suicide bomber at the gate. The other two weren't there the day we visited (the girls are "badged" to come into the base) but I'll get back over there to get pictures of all of them at some point.

What is the sign she's giving with her fingers? So interesting... this portrait.

What a beautiful "Librodo" type of portrait. They are so beautiful, but there must be such pain behind those smiles. Seeing a family personally touched by the harshness of suicide bombers and war makes it seem even closer than ever.
