Remember peeps, coral is bright white and translucent. Cranking contrast out of that combo is no easy task! :) Thanks for the comments! |

I wish this were closer so I could really see the actual texture of the coral. Being this far away, it actually looks like it could soft like the petals on a plant. |

Find this bland - progression of light and shade in the coral itself is muted, which has the inevitable effect on the perception of texture. Don't find anywhere for my eye to rest in the compositon either - it's alla bit too much the same, without much sense of rhythm in the composition either - the thing doesn't grow in an even regular way, and doesn't leave those regular patterns for the eye to follow. |

I like the coral texture and lighting seems good. There's something that's not making this photo "pop"....maybe a little soft in the focus? |
