RAW conversion: adjusted white balance, exposure, and contrast.
PP: crop, smart sharpen, noise ninja, clone out a little motion blur on wing edges, replace color to reduce blue fringe on wing edges, luko sharpen, curves, B&W conversion with tint, adjust brightness of sky, border, resize, save for web. |

I love how the light is highlighting the feathers. The way his head is turned makes this an interesting bird photo. |

Julianne, I really like the perspective and capture of facial expression. Unfortunately, it's just a touch soft. Does your camera have a sports mode? I often use it to photograph birds in flight and find it works well for motion. The downside on the Canon model, at least, is that the sports mode only works in JPEG (no RAW). |

For the record, I like the border. One of my personal favorite kind of borders to add. :-) Good capture - I especially like the way his head is turned and I love the way the light is shining off the tips of the wings and tail. |

the border makes it feel like there is suppose to be more on the left and the right, and the focus seems a bit off |
