This was my first test with my 430EX. I had the swivel turned to the left and used a piece of white posterboard as a make shift reflector. I held the popcorn over the frying pan until just before the exposure, then threw. Needless to say, the timing was quite difficult. Editing was basic; levels, curves, resize, usm, save for web.

Each challenge I'm learning more. But I did kill my camera in the process...hopefully it will be fixed soon.

This is really awesome, great lighting, this also should've been an easy 6+, one thing that could've helped would be getting rid of the silver object in the bottom left, other than that though it is a stellar shot and very well done.

I like the floating look, but a contrasting bowl with less distracting bottom (2 metal objects) might have helped.

I like the frozen capture. Many have tried the movement and it doesn't work for me as much as this does. The framing of the shot distracts me a bit on this one. It won't hurt my scoring on this one, but the left bottom with the grey whatever that is immediately catches my eye as does the right half of the pan with the handle or whatever that is coming off. I would say either crop or get in closer oooooorrrrr pan it out so we know what that is so it can be mentally placed so it isn't a distraction. But as I said not going to hurt your score with me just something of a comment because really the comments are just as important as the scores.

I like the idea, I wish the light area in the bottom left corner is distracting.

Good job of catching the corn in-air; nice use of black pot & background for contrast with the white corn.
