What a nice subject you found. I really like that single power line and pole. Usually, these elements are considered noise and avoided but here they are key to your story. I'd say this is worth visiting again to shooting in different conditions. Nice job! |

I like the tones and contrasts in this image. The tonality makes this very interesting and the simlicity is really nice. I also like the detail of the image. |

I'd love to see this one bigger.. I think the details are fantastic. because of the darker part at the bottom of the photo, I want to soom in and check the details there.
love the greenish / yellowish tones you used here. they really add to the atmosphere in the photo.
nice job! |

I love this Bob! I agree you did it right by leaving the pole and wire in. It makes the centered composition work really well! |

Moody up the wazoo! I love the abruptness in the gradient of sky, so ominous! |

Bob, I really like this a lot. You are very good at capturing mood in your photos. I also think the centered composition really works here, as the power line leading out adds balance and a bit of drama. I was on vacation during this challenge, but would have given you a 7 or 8 for this one. |

I agree with RKT - do NOT clone out the power line or pole. Those are elements essential to this, in my humble and oft misunderstood opinion. Dark is good. Dark works for this. |

I didn't make it all the way through the entries for this challenge, so I'm seeing this for the first time. I think it has a very strong mood. It's incredibly stark. An excellent find. I like the duotone. Something is missing though, I think maybe a little more contrast or a little sharper focus. I really like the composition, and I think this image has the potential for excellence. |

I'm so happy you've left that single power line in. Most would have the urge to clone it right out...very nice. |

I really like your composition and setting, however the telephone pole and wire are very distracting. I think you would have been able to clone them out due to the advanced rules set. But I still think you captured a nice shot. |

That darn telephone pole :P The centered composition would have worked so much better without it. |

This image has a ton of character. I might have gone the extra step to remove the power lines and pole if it were my image. Overall a very nice capture. |

I like this image and the unusual composition, I love the structure too, only thing i don't like is the color. I was going to say that the powerline is distracting, but that is just a kneejerk reaction to powerlines in general. Actually I think they're a common part of scenery and it works well here. nice job. 8
