This was taken in color around 1530 in Swallow Falls State Park near Deep Creek Maryland. I took several pictures playing with the settings to change the way the water looked, but this was the best one.

I'm not a great photographer, so take this comment for what it's worth, lol. The image appears very flat with very little tonal range. The falls probably would have been a bit more dramatic if you could have gotten a bit closer and focused more of the play of the rocks with the water. As is, it's just a bit to distant to really add much to the image.

Very nice scene - a colored tone may well have brought out much more detail than seems discernible.

The tree areas look a bit flat in tonal range. Perhaps a different mix of hues during the B&W converstion could have pushed the woodland contrast more to make it more dramatic

Foreground is very busy, but other than that, I love the photo.

nice scenery but the foreground really is not very flattering - the falls and rocks and trees behind are where I want to be and the sand in front does not allow me to get there - there is so leading line to pull me into the shot
