I wanted to try this challenge again to try to do better than my previous BOKEH challenges. I succeded in doing better, But had a request to provide proof. I submitted my original and the steps. This is not a multiple image shot. It is not cropped or straightened. I brightened and sharpened via the BRIGHTEN/CONTRAST and overall clarify, then overpass sharpen. So I think I passed the BASIC RULES, but the proof will be wheter I am saving it correctly. This exif is ok as far as I know.
This did not do as well as I thought it would. I have others shots that I could have chosen that might have done better, whats new, of course we have all been there, done that. Anyway, I think at this point, practice could only (hopefully) make better.
Again, the circles thing is still a big contention with the submitters and voters.
I had to shoot through a small clearing of branches, about 2-3 inch clearing of the spruce to capture the Pagoda (my subject) I felt that was more of a feat then getting the circles. So this is my take on bokeh, and if there is any more BOKEH challenges, I'll be dammed if I don't enter one that clearly has circles in all the right places, because it seems per the threads that it is the "CIRCLES" that are missing in so many shots. Even though, the top 20 are not all shots with the circles, go figue.
Thank you for taking the time to read this if you got this far.

This is really amazing... My eyes don't stop gazing all aroung. The bokeh "almost" comes to focus if you keep on looking at it. |

7 - Nice use of fore bokeh. Difficult, but just wish the ornament was 'showcased' more or 'bokeh framed' slightly differently - if that makes sense. Good meet of the Challenge in my opinion. |
