THE IMAGE: Saw this guy in the subway at Flinders Street Station. He was belting it out. I like the details on the wall, including the do not spit sign. Notice the fact that there is spit all over it? If I had more light and time, I would have shot a better image. I don't particularly like the distortions in the lens, nor do I like the way the light worked, but at the end of the day, it was pretty spontaneous.

I gave him $4 I had in my pocket for the privilege...

EDIT: Grayscale, duotone, B and W filter tint, levels, USM, Noise Ninja.

PREDICTION: Well, I have been getting hammemred lately. Maybe my MOJO has gone again. If I get 6.1 for this, maybe I should throw a party!

A nice piece of street photography. Little dodge/burn editing would make this stand out for your personal portfolio.

I really like the arrangement of this shot with the man to the left, it works really well - and his sign is brilliant! - 8

NYC metro? Man I was just there but it was a bass player in Ascott PL and a vocalist at 14th street. Great street photography!

i love the signs (do not spit and his advert) - you can photograph the wedding and he can play - that is a deal! I think the image may suffer a bit from the choice of cropping - he seems almost too far over to the edge.

Ah, there's a lot of clues here - is that you, hotpasta? :) Not a bad image, although a little blown in the highlights, mainly the shirt. There's also a bit much space for my liking, with the amp taking a subtle centre stage, and the artist falling off the edge of the frame. Would be nice to edit out the barrel distortion too. Still, overall, not a bad image.

That's some beefy distortion you have there :) Nice capture.
