 An Osprey leaps into the air. I was on the way to a beach to get a completely different shot for this challenge and my wife happened to notice this bird. She then proceeded to go near the bird to make it take off for me. Gee I love my wife!

Transferred from raw to photoshop, cropped, increased saturation +50, resized, added border using canvas size, USM twice, brightened, saved for web.

It's unusual to see the bird with water in the b/g - nice capture ... I need to add one of these guys to my wildlife collection.

Great job stopping the motion here. Your exposure looks spot on to me. Just wondering if this is a large crop because you took it with the 70-200, or did you actually get super close? My nitpicks are that the bush is a little distracting and I would like to see a bit more room for him to fly into. Great job though, osprey are one of my favorite birds to observe.

Good capture. the focus on the right wing instead of the left hurts this image a bit, but it is still a quality capture.

Great flight shot! nice focus, great colour, non-obtrusive background. It is a shame that he is heading away from you quite so much, and that there is not more frame open in front of him, instead of behind.
