 not quite what I expected. For example the book is not visible enough. Should probably have added a third light for it. But so be it. 2 flash with color gels (green within book, red with umbrella from above behind)

"Book smarts" often refers to individuals or groups who obtained their learning through formal learning processes. So formal is a dude reading a magic book? Guess i missed the magic class in school... darn.

Oh and the Halloween challenge was a few weeks ago.

Technicals: 1/2 - slightly underexposed - no drawing in shadows; sharpening artefacts;

Composition: 0.5/2 - needs more light on the book; crop is very tight, lower POV might have been more interesting

Challenge Relation: 2/2

Originality/Creativity: 1.5/2

Overall Impact: 1/2

good style and interpretation of subject. strong green light is a bit distractive, but rest looks like top quality

Excellent lighting. Good choice of contrast between the cloak and light, but I think the book could stand out just a bit more, no?
