Shot this photo in the dinning room on my glass table. Used the table to give it a floating feel to the lamp. As well, for refections. I also use the natural light from the window and blinds, also, direct lighting. I had to adjusted the color a bit to get more of the true color from it. Sharpened it a little and croped it.

Thank you folks for the comments and voting. I agree, the blinds are a bit distracting. I wasn't really think about that when I shot it. I was seeing them as a way to enhance a mundane object. I could of tilt more to the right to balance the photo out now that I see it. Perhaps I shot at that angle due to the lighting from outside. I can't remember. However, It was a nice design attempt to make something mundane look interesting. I have learned a lot from this one. This shot looks better after I had made it more into and abstract art piece in Photoshop. Looks much better that a normal photo.

I like this picture. If you could have hidden the electrical cord more I think it would improve the shot.

This is such a cool shot but you missed one important thing. It's tiled to the right. The shutters make this even more painfully clear. :(

Engaging use o flines and composition here! Clarity suffers slightly, but still a nice photo. 8

Shade distracts too much ... otherwise good.

The blinds are distracting to me as they are, sloping down to the right. I like the idea.

I like the lighting and coloring on the lamp. The horizontal blinds are a little annoying to the eye, though.

More clarity in the silver lamp head would really make this shot sparkle.

Good tonal range, all metal and light. Perhaps it would be better to line the lines in the drapes/curtains(?) up with the frame, the bended lines are a bit distracting.

Nice composition to this..Ilike the way the table reflection carries the blinds right down through the picture. good work.

Fix the bent blind and would have bee a good capture, the blind is a distractor that takes away from your image

Good reflection of the blinds on the tabletop.

Mundane no doubt. Compostionally, I find that the mini blinds are very distracting. A plain black background or a backlit white background would have worked better in my opinion.
