That's fabulous. According to the naturalists on our tour, blue whales don't breach because they're too frickin' huge. LOL!!! This appears to be a humpback, but I'm not sure. Fabulous capture. Amazing how much air he caught, considering his size. |

Whow, must be impressive to see in real life.
It would be nice if the whale was a little closer. There's so much blue in the foreground. |

Timing and composition are great. A little on the fuzzy side for a "main challenge". Where's that 400 mm lens when you needed it? |

I have been on the water (Monterey Bay) trying to catch one of these and I KNOW how hard it is to have the camera there just when these behemoths dance. Terrific shot. Well done. |
