I have had the equipment to reverse a lens and do macro shots with it, but have never liked the results. I figured I would try again with the 40D using remote shooting and live view.

Let me begin by saying that if I had a real macro lens and was using it, that the 40D and the live view would be awesome.

My results with my setup exceeded my expectations, but I still don't beleive the reversing the lens is the best way to get macro. Maybe I just expect too much.

So, I took this photo of a section of a 10,000 Won bill. That equates to about $10.75 in US dollars.

I then rotated, cropped, adjusted the levels, saturation, resized, sharpened aggresively, added the border and saved-for web.

I will be curious to se ehow this does becuase I think it is a unique subject for the challenge, and I don't see others submitting currency. But only time will tell.

A very unique view of someones money. I don't recognize the patterns so I am assuming its not American. I'm curious about which country it is.
The texture and abstract feel is very cool. The diamond maze makes me want to follow them. You got the complimentary colors very nicely in an out of the box image. The cut off letters hurts the image somewhat compositionally. I wonder if it would be better with just the O maybe turned sideways to emphasize the wavey red lines. Good Job!
