Dollar bills using origami becomes a set of shirts and ties. Thanks to Rose for making these. She's very much into arts and crafts.

They were given to me for Chinese New Years for good luck. Money is presented to single people from married people as a way to give posperity for the coming year.
Normally people will give out plain money, but these were given out by Rose.

Don't put these in the washing machine lest you be arrested for money laundering. ;-)

Great shot, interesting subject, excellent post-proc.

Interesting! I would have made mini hangers and shot the shirts hanging on them.

Not too late. Maybe for a future challenge!?

FYI

Origami - No cutting involved, otherwise it would be called paper crafts.

To learn to make this and others, go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan Town in San Francisco in April. Lots of stuff there and best of all... FREE!!!!

My version of:

by mediamst What better way to make a mundane picture extraordinary but to look at the lowest scoring shots and find a shot I could remake.

Will post the how-to as soon as my friend shows me how to make it ;)

At least you only used one dollar bills, I don't know if I could bring myself to cut money :). This is a very original idea, and its executed fwell. I think you should have gotten a bigger DOF since the part of the dollar is slightly out of focus.

That's so cool, I've never seen this before! It's amazing that someone actually took the time to figure out how to fold a bill to make it look like a shirt.

That is really cool! I would like to see how that's folded. The difference in colors between the two is a little distracting to me though. Either way, I like the idea a lot!

A new skill emerges! Creative and fun. Suggestion to improve this solid shot - would like the shirt/ties to fill the frame more, also it's tough to compose two items in an interesting way - three or more may have been worth playing around with (provided you had the cash)

Very creative way of making the mundane stand out. Great lighting. Very well ballanced composition. I'm wondering if less shallow DOF would be better (I find it a tiny bit distracting here). Otherwise my highest vote cast.

It's too bad you lose a bit of the focus on the leading edge of the bottom shirt... this is really interesting, though!
