 Taking pictures of 16 month olds is kind of like herding cats. :) This is my son. So far it looks like he has gotten all of the best traits of both my wife and I, including my eyes.

I'm very happy with how this turned out. Even if it doesn't score well, it's always great to have portraits of your children that you are proud of.

Editting included pretty standard stuff. Colour levels, Shadows/Highlights, a tight crop and a slight rotate. Too bad under the basic editting rules I couldn't tone down that shine on his right cheek, but what can ya do.

Just a shame the eyes aren't a touch sharper. Normally in this situation you would aim to have the eyes in focus and little else, but it might have been worth considering using a smaller appature to get the hat in focus since its orange colour is important here.

i like this one. sharper focus, perhaps stopping down the aperture a bit more would've brought out more detail. simple, composition works for me. very nice.
