Well it makes me laugh to see that your 'terrible' shot still easily beat mine. Compositionally I thought this was lovely and I really liked the reflection. I guess the colours seem a tad flat (cant you make your foggy drizzly days a little brighter lol)
Definitely not your best but equally assuredly better than this score suggests |

Contrast could be better, it would help bring out that mist in the distance. Composition divides me between the branch and the opposite bank. |

Good meld of tones and composition. (That's Nflnd driftwood for you). T |

I think here the foreground element needs to take up more of the frame. The fog is too far away to be useful as part of the composition, and there's nothing super special about the horizon in the background. The foreground element though, has awesome shapes available with the reflection, and the stones just underneath the water would have added a very interesting element as a background. With what you've presented, it's a bit underexposed; and the coldness/grayness of the tones don't seem to add to any "story" - that I can see anyway. The feeling that I'm left with is that this might be a location that is special to you, but I don't see anything that makes it special to me as a viewer. Nonetheless, I can see attempts to follow good rules of composition and it's a decent image overall. |

Just a truly lovely peaceful and serene image. I really like the extra substance of the branch and its reflection in the foreground. One of the finer entries IMO. 8 |
