Some people might recognize this from nico_blue's 6th place entry in Duotones III. He was sitting on the ground to my left when I shot this. ;-)

OK... so he gets 6th, and I get 49th. I should have pushed him in.

It's a very pretty shot Shannon. But Nico's composition is much stronger. Here's to entertaining coincidences!

Pretty nice. The composition and reflection are great but suffers from noise. Getting sharp details, like the mast ropes, in those iso 800 shots is difficult. I think a sturdy tripod and longer exposure on lower iso would have made a big difference.

Shannon - I just cound decide if it was you, Nick, or Steve that took this...

Excellent stuff - I love the stillness of the water, the lights of Mystic behind, and the various blue tones. I think the only thing I see as a "DPC" issue is the apparent grain in the sky. I think it works really well in the image, but others probably see it as a flaw.

Really liked this one. Clarity, colour tones and perspective.

Hahaha! That's funny. Well, maybe not for you. :op I love this so much more than the duotone version. The blues are outstanding, and the crop pulls you right into the image.

beautiful reflection and the blue is great. I may have ran NI or gaussian blur to smooth out the sky as it is a little pixellated.
