DNG to jpeg transformation, Cropped a couple of times,eye dropper, paint bucket, magic wand, multiple layers & opacities to process subject multiple ways & then to merge to results for an HDR effect of the original, brightness/contrast, guassian blur, accented edges, feather layers, despeckle, dust & scratches, reduce noise, sharpen edges, USM, place original as an overlay, levels on the orignal, master opacity change, merge down, resized, saved for web... |

Wonderful potential, just a lack of sharp focus... If this is intentional soft focus, it does not work for me. |

Rather than resulting in a soft focus effect, this just looks like the DOF isn't as it should be. Good exposure, though. |

It's got beautiful color and depth of field. It just doesn't appear to be in focus. |

Since the center part of the rose is the darkest in color, that's where the eye goes (at least mine) and one wants to find that a little more in focus. Not crisp, necessarily - soft is fine - just a bit less blur. Nice light and color. |

I really would have preferred to see the center in very sharp focus.. Looks like there may have been a little motion blur wich imho takes away from the beauty of the shot. |
