 Messing around in my back yard trying to learn how to use my camera. I was taking some pics of finches in a tree and this hummingbird made an appearance. My first pics of him were lousy so I focused in on the passifloras and just waited. Luckily he came back.
It's not the best in terms of lighting and I wish I had been able to get the focus better.

Nice opportunity. Good luck with trying to perfect this 'scene'. He will probably come back so a 'sniper set up' might be a good idea. No expert, but perhaps practice getting the focus a few inches in front of the flower first.

Nice catch! they are very hard to photograph. I have yet to succeed on that front. :)
