Thanks for the comments. I was really surprized how bright a bounce flash of a closed palm could be. My others were even more blown out. Van

Things are good here. Idea, composition, focus... but lighting a bit too bright in some areas, like your hand and your face. It's a good photo overall :)

trying adding some white tape over the flash light to give it a softer glow.

I think this is someone who takes beautiful cloudshots, I even named one of mine after him. :) Sneaky to use your hand to bounce the flash onto your face.

I like your take on the challenge. The lighting is a bit harsh on the bottom of the face, but its still a great SP. Nice work.
