 Had the ceramic faerie....used in a prior challenge. Used the Pink Gerbera that I bought today to mask the giant purse the faerie is leaning on. The background is multicolored party necklaces and faux multicolored flowered leis. I think a brighter background behind the necklaces might have worked better, sort of cause I like the bit of dark going on back there as well. This should do poorly but it turned out better than I thought.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +0.33 exposure compensation. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Layer of curves adjustment. Spot edit dust....real dust as opposed to camera....it's very dusty here. NeatImage. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

Very cute. Imo the bokeh in the background is very complimentary, however the colors are not. I would love to see this with the background selected and desaturated and then toned in to be just a bit lighter than the fairy's skin.

The background, despite being blurred is quite strongly coloured and draws attention away from the mostly pink coloured subjects. Can't help but feel the face of the fairy could be more in focus. The left eye is but not the right but yet the centre of the flower right at the bottom is well focused which spoils the composition a bit as it further draws attention away from the fairy and in this case, out of the bottom of the image.

Very pretty background but it's a little bright for the gentle colours in the foreground, my eye is drawn more to the background.

Pleasing colors and general composition. I don't normally like images that are based on figurines but this one stands out better.
