I think it is the poles that underline the title.
In fact they appear like a penguin standing up (on rather tall legs!)
I liked this - that's the bottom line!

I doubt the ski poles are in the picture intentionally – I’d prefer this image without them. |

pretty scene - the tips of the ski poles actually provide an unnecessary distraction to the shot. more of the ski poles or a skier in the frame would have worked better here |

I think a touch more contrast and a touch less ski poles would have made this picture absolutely breathtaking... Great capture though! |

if only i couldn't see the well-worn ski path, without that it would look more like solitude. |
