We went to Raglan in the hope of some really big waves its about 40 minutes drive away
A very difficult place to take photographs and very dangerous I risk my life for D P C! LOL!
If you get too close the spray can ruin the image and cover the lens (not good)Or I could get very wet those rocks are very slippery people have died falling off or the sea has taken them
I had about 6 others to choose from but this shows the land part better. Taken on Suppressed flash. cropped a little
sharpened lightly and brightened a little
border added and downsized for D P C
My partner Ian got a drenching! LOL
The waves were not as big as I had hoped as the tide was out and we only had a limited time there.
But hopefully you like it. Sally

i like the idea, but the shot doesn't seem to evoke the power that is going on here.

maybe plastic bagging the camera and getting down at the waterline and shooting the explosion above "eye-level" would help exaggerate the moment....???

Beatiful shot. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself.

LOVE the wave crashing, but what on EARTH is in the lower right foreground???? A killer porcupine? Attack hedgehog?

Great shot. Did you try cropping the bottom off. Nice action capture.

hmmm? When I look at the photo I personally do not see conflict or at least it doesnt come to mind right away. I see what you were going for but I feel the idea was skewed...

In the bottom right I really dont care for the blotch of grass it seems to distracting from the water and, it could be me, but I feel the ricks to be a little bit blurry...

Nice shot

A lot of detail for such a small picture! My only nitpick is the bush in the bottom right - it seems a bit dark compared to its surroundings.

lovely.

Nice catch of the spray! Bottom right corner looks like a finger in the way??

This would have worked better if there had been a point of interest.
