 Had our pastors kids over today. Thought I would give a shot at a group portrait. On a white muslin background, 420 to the right, 580 in hand attached to shoe cord bouncing to the left and off the white card. I think I had the flashes set to fire a bit brighter than normal. Nothing fancy in the editing.

I like the variety of heights and expressions. I think I lucked out. "Booger, booger, booger, POOP!" gets a much better reaction than "cheese!"

very cute. I love the little one with her hand on her head. the background is quite distracting though. I would have had them all barefoot too... my nitpicky thing :)

For the older kids (at least old enough to get it) my old boss taught me to say "chicken"... sometimes that was enough, but then you say "what! did you just call me a chicken!" and they usually crack up.

or anything stinky... as mentioned. Stinky feet or stinky cheese was my choice... :)

one time a kid didn't want to say anything I told him and he was mad the girls got to say princess and the boys had no boy work... so I let him pick his "boy" word, and he said monster. it worked. :)

Great portrait series, and Rohan is very cute. :) You should just title this one "booger booger booger POOP!". Instead of cheese, I've used "Stinky undies!". I'll have to try yours too.

LOL...Ill have to remember that booger thing on my next kids portrait session. Very cute shot here..and the little one covering her face is priceless! (now that I know why she did makes it funny)
