Interesting take on the challenge, great composition, POV and DOF. Nice choice of B&W. |

To narrow of a shot. Would have looked better if it was wider. |

Obvious photographic quality, Highly print worthy, good lightning, good DOF. One of the best chess shot in this challenge but still, another chess shot (7) |

Very nice expression of conflict, and the best of the chess shots. Unusual perspective, good depth of field and composition. The pawn is a little distracting and the light is harsh, but I like that the knight is facing the king. 8 |

This is taken from a great perspective. Most chess shots seem very much the same, but not this one... much more original. :) |

Cool how the opposite king/queen (never play chess) looks so large. Well composed. You can see the fear on the mouth of the horse somehow. :) |

We see A LOT of chess photos--this one, however, has a unique and creative viewpoint. I like it! 7 |

You may suffer in the voting because you have chosen a common subject, but you have created a very good image. |

Good chess picture. Could the knight in the foreground have been sharpened more?
