 Singing City sang at the Kimmel Center this past Friday in a Messiah Sing Along. We were on stage with two area high school choirs and the audience is invited to sing the choruses along with the on stage choir accompanied by a huge organ in the hall played by a 19 year old organist. He was excellent. It was a great night.

In between our onstage rehearsal and the performance, I went out in the hall and took a dozen shots of the wooden slats of a side of Verizon Hall going towards the barrel vault atrium roof of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. I angled the camera through the view finder and then carefully set the camera down on the flat top of a pillar by the stairs and held my breath during the shutter release and two second exposures.

A long, hard climb to heaven. I hope you all get there and hopefully easier than this. Not so much heaven as to how to get there. I'd sing the song for you but I have no idea how to record and embed a MP3 file. For reference see Jacob's Ladder on Wikipedia .

Post: Convert from Raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +1.0 exposure compensation. Rotate 90° left. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. USM. Resize. USM.

Fascinating and beautiful. And ask someone in the forums how to record an MP3 file - I'd love to hear you sing!

Nice abstract photo. I like the composition. Although I am having difficulty to see a ladder, still is a very nice shot :)
