 The moon was beginning to set when I started home from work this evening, so I looked for a lone tree to mix with it and try to get more than just a moon shot.
This is edited with basic edit tools, nothing fancy.
The lens used is an old Nikkor 105 f2.5 tele. no filter. I put the two aux legs in my monopod and set it on the hood of my truck for stability. The sky moved during the 6 sec exposure. The bands on the horizon are mostly dust because we are in drought conditions here now. This was about 1/2 hour after sunset.
I know it's overdone with shadows and highlights to where there is a shadow around the moon and stars, but everyone who sees this image seems to think it's cool looking. : )

So pretty! Love the detail in the moon and the softness of the shot, which goes so well with Florida.

I'll be there in a few weeks, then I'll be taking photos like this, too!
