We went tonight to the Aimmee Mann Christmas Show and it was quite entertaining. I called ahead and asked about photography and the guy said no "pro equipment", and that included even entry level DSLR cameras.

So I borrow Taylor's camera. I then have to carry in wickee_one's camera because she's chicken to walk in with it. Of course I get stopped by security and we get delayed while he waits for the supervisor to come over and ok her camera. Taylor's was so small in my pocket he didn't even notice it.

The lighting was awful and I ended up shooting at ISO400 and ended up with a lot of blurry, noisy pictures. I don't care much for this shot but technically it turned out quite well and all I did was crop, reduce noise, & sharpen. And I thought ISO400 on my camera was bad, but at least I got something.

I was actually done since this was the end of the show and the lights really lit up the fake snow but not so much the people. I figured maybe some would reflect back on them; I guess I was right.

What I wouldn't have done to have my camera and the 50mm 1.8!

I have no idea who Aimee Mann is but any Christmas concert can't be bad!! Neat shot.

Hey - main thing is, you were there and you got the shot! And we can see it now - what a saga getting the cameras through. This really conveys the atmosphere of the concert. Looks like it was fun.

This is a great shot!!! And it's waaaaaaay better than none at all. I have no issues with this, and you now have it forever.

You both did an awesome job! I tried using my old sony p&s at a concert once and just ended up with blurry, noisy shots.
