This was the last gift my Mum gave to me, she died two months ago aged 57. She was the most beautiful person I have ever met.

It was taken on the floorboards of my bedroom.

Rest in Peace Mum, I love you so much. I'll treasure it forever.

That just screams "rushed shot". Plan this stuff out if you intend to enter it into competitions.

...troll. Notice their average score given and how many challebges they have entered.

I think before you make wild assumptions about how long it took a person to set up you should take a moment to consider that it is only an assumption and not a fact. The fact is, it took me hours to get everything set up right, just how I wanted it.

I'm pleased with the saturation, the lighting and the shot. The only thing I would have done differently is including the whole vase and taking away the rug.

Not only does it totally fit the challenge, and is a good photo, but it has a strong message as well. Excellent.

I love the boards. I think if the flower were real it might have more of the "wabi sabi" feel for me. Not crazy about the text on the bottle. Nice composition and focus.

i'm not sure why you cropped the top of the bottle off, maybe something about the way it looked didn't fit the rest of the photo, but it kind of bothers me because my eyes keep trying to follow it beyond the photo. i also think the rug should have removed from behind, otherwise i would have given it a 10. the floor demonstrates my understanding of 'wabi-sabi' absolutely perfectly and i like the way it fades off into the darkness. and i love the overall colour of the photo. the flower is a beautiful touch. /9

I love the colours in this and the textures and tone. What I don't like is your composition. The cut off vase looks awkward and everything is just too centered. If it were composed differently I'd score this at least 2 points higher.
