Dont rely on a photo title to try to get across your message. |

Elementary my dear Watson...
This hue of blue sky over a Eucalyptus tree photographed in February obviously indicates this crime could only have been committed at non-other than Boyce Arboretum near Superior, Arizona by an outsider from a city like San Diego.
The photographer would have to come from a place where Eucalyptus is commonplace. He would not expect to find this unusual flora in Arizona. Therefore he would take a picture of it.
The perpetrator is a lone, male photographer aged 45-70. This is indicated because there is no one else pictured in the frame and only middle-aged and older men take pictures of tall trees.
Fess up! You did it, didn't you?
Sherlock (Besides, I think I have photographed that exact tree) |

The photo appears just a little too dark to me. I see the connection to "silence" only through the title. Without that, I think the connection is weak. |

Lovely tree, if it could only talk! The image is slightly desaturated for my taste. It doesn't exactly convey silence to me (that's not what comes to mind, if I didn't know it was this challenge my first thoughts would hav been strength, or age, or steadfastness, etc.). On my monitor the background shadows are really dark. |

I like the way the details are hard to see - it adds to the mysterious silent effect. The blue sky poking through at the back seems to reduce the effect a bit, though. |
