My new German Shepherd puppy Umbra. She is SUCH a sweet dog. Her ears probably won't actually remain imperfect - they cross in the middle right now (at 5 months), but may stand up straighter as she gets older. According to the vet she does have a slightly imperfect... how do I put this politely... hooha, but since that wasn't visible in the picture I decided not to mention it in the title ;) I anticipate getting lots of comments on the fact that you can't see her whole ears. I had a couple pictures where you could see her ears, but none had the same intensity so I decided to hope people will understand the underlying emotion and use their imaginations.
Editing: Crop, resize, correct color cast, increase contrast, neatimage, sharpen, slight global increase in sat of red and decrease in sat of cyan and yellow, another sharpen, another neatimage.
There's a lot of noise in the picture due to the ISO 1600 and the focus is pretty shallow due to the f/1.8 aperture, but puppies move fast and it was kind of dim in the house so you gotta do what you gotta do. Even with all that it is still a little softer than I'd like. Oh well. |

| A cute image of this guy. He looks sweet. The DOF isn't the greatest, and the out of focus nose is distracting form the rest of an otherwise good shot. |

| :) Fun pet portrait. Proximity to lens caused both some noise and some pretty severe OOF. But a really fun shot. :) |
