Just a café in downtown Toronto that's always busy - almost always, except for now.

My first entry into DPChallange. I'm a film guy playing with digital, and purchased the Optio S4 as the perfect toy a while back. And as a neat little toy that I can take anywhere (in an Altoids can), I'm gonna try to show that it's more than just a toy - it's a work of art.

B/W conversion, moved up the black levels a bit, and that's pretty much all I did. Probably should do more, but I'm satisfied with how it looks.

I can almost feel what it is like to be there at this quiet time. Good luck on this shot.

Reflections didn't quite work, as they distract a little.

I like the silent mood. A little too much reflection distracts from the pic, though.

Overall the image seems to be a litle underexposed but their are bright spots on top midle and right wich are litle distracting. Also the glass reflection makes the image litle caotic.

Shot through the window? Cool shot.

Relfection is very distracting. Polorizing filter, if possible, would help reduce this.

Odd reflection in the background, but a very nice shot

There are many glass reflex and flares here. You may use a circular polariser to blow out it.

This is really nice work. I particularly like the reflections here, as it makes me feel like I'm standing at the window looking in.

Its a nice pic but the picture should have been taken from the inside, but can understand you wont be able to get the same angle from the inside. its just that the reflections from the window are quite distracting.
You could have thrown a brick at it , taken a the picture and run away ;p
hehehehehehe

I find the reflection confusing without the context of the window

There are an awful lot of elements to this photograph - even without patrons, the cafe still seems "busy" due to elements everywhere in the frame, compounded by the reflections we're seeing on the glass you apparently took this through. Distracts from the feeling of "silence".

The reflections are a bit distracting, otherwise pretty good...don't let Starbucks know about it

nice use of B&W, busy-ness of the background is balanced by the dark foreground. I'd like a bit more light (or an accent light) in the foreground to take my eye off the bright object in mid-left
