Ok, a lot of post editing done on this entry. I couldn't get exactly the right reflection no matter what I did, so I had to move the flame reflection from lower in the eye to in the middle of the pupil and also in the pupil of the other eye. Then I rendered it in black and white, selected just the flame and colorized it, to emphasized it. I cloned the iris in the area where I took the flame reflection from.
I would have liked to have captured this same image without post editing, but just didn't have any luck, so thank goodness this was a member challenge.
I was my own model(hence the difficulty).
Hope you all enjoy it.

Good idea but on my monitor I find it hard to make out the flames. If they were more pronounced I would have rated it higher.

Wish the flame in her eyes was larger and more pronounced. Seems like she's out of flame. :(

If the flame was just a little bigger...

Very interesting idea, too bad that the flame doesn't stand out to strengthen the concept.

Interesting idea, but I think you needed a larger flame to reflect in the eyes to really be able to pull this one off.

Having both eyes in the composition takes away from the composition. The fire is quite small to make out. Focusing on 1 eye would give the viewer a closer look at the eye and thus the flame. Currently the slanted composition is fairly interesting and is still good. The b&w combined with the touch of color for the fire is good. "8"

Not enough detail really the shot itself is very good but the fire aspect is lost
good focus 6

... the microscope in my hand. The flame is just too small. Perhaps if the fire was more brightly colored? I was going to try a similar shot + maybe one using mirrored sunglasses, but the reflections were too small so I gave up.

I like this composition - the eye in one corner and the arch of the eyebrow diagonally opposite. Catching the reflection of the fire in the eyes is a great idea. It comes off as a bit too subtle - I would like to see more fire - like the reflection from a fireplace. 6

very nice idea, bigger reflections would improve it.

The "idea" always make me think of a roaring blaze so perhaps a little weak on the theme but a nice picture all the same and well PPed to acheive the effect. 7

I will assume the fire is from a match or a lighter but it is so small it is barely discernible. Nice idea but needs some oomp. The eyes are very nice and the rest of the image is quite fine.

could you magnify the flames more, I think that would really bring out the picture.

nicely cropped - perhaps the flames could be larger?? Like the b&w treatment

Cool idea! I think that a bit more flame would have made it really stand out. One of my favs as is.

Just bring up some flame in there those eyes and you got it. But don't get to close. Good luck.

Excellent shot. Why didn't I think of this! I love it. The eye on the left feels a bit cut off to me and the shot overall feels a bit unbalanced.
