wanjun for all the cool photoshop tricks she has been teaching me for this shot. Basically I bring up the "black and white" layer in photoshop cs3 and for this one I used the "maximum black " setting which really brought out his freckles and then I set that layer to soft light and brought down the opacity a bit. It is a really interesting way to do levels. I did this again and masked out his face so that it didn't get too dark but this darkened the bokeh grass behind him. I then applied general curves and sharpened. I am VERY happy with this shot.

i cant decide....the background is very bokeh-ish,almost to the point of distraction, i do like the sharpness and the spot on eyes
