Challenge: Silence IV (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Canon PowerShot S50
Location: Leicester Sq, London
Date: Feb 27, 2004
Aperture: 4.5
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/100
Date Uploaded: Feb 28, 2004

I took this picture during my lunch hour in Leicester Square in London. I'm sure there will be dispute over whether or not this falls within the remit of the challenge, and no doubt a poorly score beckons. But to me, even though i am not a fan, the guy has a silent aura about him and I thought this to be relevant.

Basically took the picture, added sepia tones and neatimaged it.

oh, this is a great idea! i wanted to do something along the same lines, but couldn't really grasp the presentation... just thought i'd title it "before the talkies" - but back to your picture... focus is a little soft, isn't it? and one degree rotation to the left would've helped here... but, like i said, i just love the idea! 5.

compositioin composition composition.. so important to a photo.. i think the street lamp in the background ruins the shot.. also, the focus seems to be off on the entire shot.. coulda been great..

Appropriate subject, good choice of toned black and white, focus seems very soft.

Ahhh, Charlie. I might have gone for another angle of the statue. The picture looks nice, although the background is ruff looking.

This has a nice feel to it. Sepia toning works well, giving it an really old feel. Would like to see Charlie a little brighter, though. Matybe a bighter day would have worked better.

What a great take on the challenge, the focus is weak, though. 5.

Excellent idea. Too bad the image is not sharper. This must have been an extreme crop. 8
