 I felt like I had to top my fire picture in the "Elements" Challenge so I came up with this idea. I used a material called Alginate which is used for taking impressions of teeth and made an impression of my hand as if it were holding a match. I poured the impression up in plaster of paris and put a handle in the end so I could hold the hand in my shirt sleeve. I set up the grill and used an artificial log to get a decent flame. The camera was set up and I used the remote control to take the picture. In order to get the flame to jump up I squirt lighter fluid on the plaster hand and the log. Timing was difficult and it took several attempts to get the right flame and my positioning correctly in order to get the shot. This was the best of the bunch. The hand turned a little too black from the soot but I didn't have time to freshen things up and retake it.

Cute idea. "Can you hear me NAAAAAAAH!" LOL The back arm doesn't look believable, though- too thin and bent just above the wrist.

I dont really get the connection but the fire part is very good and detail and focus great
I agree with the title but not sure I think I am just a bit thick tonight Ha ha

A little fakey but Oh so good!!! I hate cell phone drivers!!! Points fro creativity from me. BOL I think I would have liked something grilling though. Like steaks.
