Ah! What do the voters know? This is an excellent picture. Lighting on the bird, and detail is superb. Big challenge, with lots of entries, people voting fast, I think this just got overlooked by a lot of voters. Definitely deserved much higher than 4.9.

If there was nothing in the background, it would be much better photo. Distraction in the back, but bird is nice. Clean, sharp focus :)

The colors are beautiful - this would have been a good entry into isolation by contrast.

For me, the lines in the background greatly distract me from your main subject, the bird. I like the texture and sharpness arond the beak.
