Two ones! Strewth. I was actually pretty pleased with this entry for the challenge, not least because it was serendipitous.
I went out at about 3 pm on the eve of the deadline to take something, when there was precious little daylight left. As luck would have it the cat wanted out as well. The idea of using manually reduced flash occurred to me just as we were going out of the door, so I had to do all the button twiddling a bit sharpish as he doesn't hang around much.

I'll never understand the "1" votes. I almost always have at least a couple. I've probably said so before, but there are darn few "bad" photos on this site.

I think this has excellent contrast, between the dark and light, and between the beautiful grooming and the decay. The eye is a startling contrast to the rest of the image, and you managed to capture quite a bit of detail in that white fur. Good going.

I like the line of the stairwell next to the curved back of the cat. I also like the nice rich tones of the red. A good photo for the challenge and a cute kitty.

He posed beautifully for you and well done on the exposure with that white fur. He is such a gorgeous cat. Love the title as well. The bright eye looks a little odd but I assume that's from the flash, cats are the most difficult creatures to photograph.

If I'm not mistaken, the eyes look like that from the side due to the flash, yes? Cats' eyes are the most fascinating things. Amazingly good job with the white fur, too. Darn hard to shoot well.

Beautiful cat. So dark on the left, looks like she's floating

Not sure about the green eye. Nice shot though.

Beautiful kitty. I think the saturation of the green on the eyes makes it look a touch forced.
