 I had just watched "The Passion of the Christ", and as everyone left the theatre, there was not a word said. I realized how such an impacting sacrifice for us brings about a silence that is saturated in thought.

I saw this lit up cross from the freeway and pulled off. I used a Rear-Sync flash and a long exposure to light up the nearer subject. This was able to work because of the lighting on the cross that really accentuated it.

No messing around in this shot. Refreshingly bold approach to the challenge - not my favourite pic but high mark for the haunting title and evocative photo.

Could have been a little better composed - (cross not quite straight and too far right.

night shots are always an added challenge.. compostion is good.. contrast in colors is nice..
