I don't get this- I mean the vote...fickle finger of dpc'ers is all I can say:). Free study's are too much for me- just too many entries. I like this as a soft focus sweet moment .

The message gets through, it is the execution that is flawed. The focus is on the left wood post, and the hand and mouth are out of focus.

Looks like you did the same thing as I did - entered a cute moment in time that you really like, but seems the voters don't appreciate it as much as we do, right? I think it's really cute. Maybe either a bit MORE blur would have helped? Either way, it's cute and funny. :)

Here are the things I like. I really like the lines. I like the contrast. And I like the exposure. Those things are key. I think you just missed the focus a bit as it is on the front post. I also think if there was something in the fingers it would have helped. Still I like the lines a lot.

OK I will be honest and say that I did not like this shot very much. IMO there is always a bit of a risk in taking an abstracty/humourous shot like this in that unless it is excuted perfectly then there is a chance that it will not do very well and (again imo) the focus is slightly off on the fingers and the goats mouth (which is the key element of the shot). In a free study especially when there is normally such a plethora of overwhelming images ones with even a slight 'error' get far lower marks than they would normally do

Having said all that I do think the idea was great and I did like the framing of the image

If you cropped the post on the left this would come together nicely.

Can't add any more than that. It is a lovely moment. I know that non-DPC-ers look at photos with different eyes with the rest of us - it's sometimes a good thing and sometimes not to ask their opinions ;-)

I gave this a 3. I think if I could see more of the face, even the eyes of the goat I would have scored it higher.

The lack of focus on your subject (the hand and the nose) hurt the score here more than anything else, I suspect. My problem with it was the imaginary food. :-) It looked as though a child was feeding the animal, but there's nothing there! I do like the anticipation of the critter - and the fact you can't see its face.

I'm very fond of little child hands doing wonderful things. This is underrated, in my opinion. I like the softness and composition. Very sweet.

Fun piece! That's a brave soul for getting their empty hand so close to the hungry mouth. I like all the lines created by the wood.

Would be better if you could see more of the goats head.

A fun view. Unfortunately, the post on the left is what is most in focus.

The hand and the mouth are out of focus. Seems that the piece of wood in front of the animal is focused really well.

Very comical. Could be a little sharper.

The wooden post on the left is the only thing really sharp in this picture.

I like the crop, but it seems like your lens focused on the door isntead of the subject, and this is way too noisy.
